Times are changing, and so is the need for how light duty tow operator training is delivered. GTI has produced an online video based light duty tow operator training course to suit the needs of the towing and recovery industry. The training covers all aspects of light duty towing and recovery along with the basics of jumps starts, tire changes and fuel delivery.
The course has 12 modules that are divided into a total of 46 segments (plus a pretest and final exam). No segment is longer than 16 minutes in length, so if a participant needs to leave, upon returning they can continue where they left off. Conversely, although the participant can binge watch the course if desired and complete it in as little as 12 hours, plus a mandatory shop supervised 4 hours of hands on training which is required by CHP, learning of any kind is best delivered in small bites.
Take the tow operator training course fast (16 hours minimum), or take it slow. Take it at night, in the day or over the weekend. It's your course, and your choice. Let's get learning!
